Being Kind is Good for Your Health

Did you know being kind is good for your health? Not only does it release feel-good hormones like oxytocin, but it can also reduce stress and lower blood pressure. Consider these simple ideas:

  • Compliment a Stranger: Take a moment to genuinely compliment someone you don’t know. It could be about their outfit, smile or anything else you notice.
  • Pay It Forward: If you’re in a drive-thru or a coffee shop, consider paying for the order of the person behind you.
  • Leave a Kind Note: Whether you choose to leave a note for a close friend or complete stranger, the goal is to brighten someone’s day. Sending a text works, too!
  • Provide Assistance: Hold the door for a stranger or help someone with their chores. Lightening others’ loads can make them feel supported.
