If you have recently traveled to China or have been in close contact with someone who has and are experiencing the above symptoms, call your healthcare provider immediately. Please call ahead so the provider can take appropriate precautions to prevent the spread of infection. Be sure to tell the provider your symptoms and that you recently traveled to China or had close contact with someone who has.
“While we aren’t particularly concerned about the Coronavirus reaching our area, other seasonal respiratory infections are still on the rise,” says Deanna Youngman, MMH Infection Prevention Coordinator. “To protect both yourself and your family, be sure to practice good hand hygiene, stay home when you’re sick, cover your cough and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.”
